When I first started playing the drums, my main goal was to have fun with people that I love to spend time with. Fried Bologna on Chinese Toast gave me this opportunity, and was the first band that I was a member of. It consisted of two of my best high school friends and allowed us to hone our new found musical talents. We wrote songs with basic musicality and simple structures, but afforded us with our first taste of being a band. Many of our songs are lost on random cassette tapes which have been passed around our high school friends, but two have survived through the years: “Jenny”, a song about young love, and “Highs & Lows”, a song about life.
